Placements24 is partnering with a renowned studio in Gauteng to recruit a Lead Audio Engineer in Tembisa. You will spearhead a team of audio designers and craft immersive soundscapes for interactive media and installations.

This hands-on leadership role requires deep technical mastery, artistic sensibility, and collaboration with developers and directors to translate vision into high‑fidelity audio across projects.

Qualifications

• Lead and mentor a team of audio engineers and sound designers.
• Oversee audio production from concept to final delivery.
• Develop and implement advanced audio technologies and workflows, including spatial audio.
• Collaborate with game developers, filmmakers, and creative directors to translate vision into audio experiences.
• Design, record, mix, and implement sound effects, dialogue, and music for projects.
• Manage audio assets, budgets, and timelines for multiple projects.
• Conduct rigorous quality assurance testing to identify and resolve audio issues.
• Stay current with latest advancements in audio hardware, software, and best practices.
• Contribute creative ideas and technical solutions to enhance audio direction.
• Represent the audio department in cross-functional team meetings and client presentations.

• Contribute creative ideas and technical solutions to enhance the overall audio direction of projects.
• Represent the audio department in cross-functional team meetings and client presentations.
