Job summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd seeks a Chief Advisor Security Cyber Solution to lead cybersecurity strategy, governance and OT security across multiple locations. The role targets developing, assessing and communicating cyber security policies and designs, with responsibility for roadmaps, governance and research in a demanding energy environment.

The position requires extensive experience in OT cybersecurity, strategic leadership and the ability to engage in national and international technical forums.

Qualifications

• B degree or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering or information security (NQF7).
• At least 7 years in operational technologies cybersecurity.
• Expert knowledge of OT cybersecurity disciplines and governance.
• Cyber security strategy formulation and road mapping knowledge.
• Sound understanding of electrical plant systems, network design and operation.

Responsibilities

• Provide cyber security consulting, training and investigation services.
• Develop and integrate complex engineering security solutions and designs.
• Develop and approve cyber security governance documentation.
• Develop cyber security vision, strategy, roadmaps and direction.
• Plan and conduct cyber security research into new technologies.
• Represent Eskom in national and international technical forums.
• Manage evaluations of products, equipment, materials and services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide cyber security technical consulting, training and investigation services to Eskom.

2. Produce and integrate complex engineering security solutions, designs for asset creation.

3. Develop and approve cyber security governance documentation.

4. Develop cyber security vision, strategy, roadmaps and direction setting.

5. Plan and control cyber security research into new technologies.

6. Represent Eskom in national and international technical forums.

7. Manage and conduct complex product, equipment, material, service and change impact evaluations.

8. Provide professional technical leadership.
