- Computer networks e.g. Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN), Firewalls, Virtual Private Network (VPN)
- ADMS integration into business systems e.g. Geographical Data Capturer (GDC), Electrical Network Schematic (ENS), Outage Management System (OMS), Integration Bus
- Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS)
- Cyber security e.g. Active Directory (AD), AntiVirus (AV), Patch Management (PM), Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), Firewall (FW)
- Management of Technology principles (MOT)
- Risk analysis principles
- Sound knowledge and understanding electrical plant systems, network design and operation

Key Responsibilities
- 1. Provide planned and unplanned O&M engineering support.
- 2. Provide a technical consulting and investigation service.
- 3. Develop discipline-specific philosophies, technical standards, procedures, work practices and specifications.
- 4. Develop discipline-specific vision, strategy and direction setting.
- 5. Provide input into and conduct research.
- 6. Represent Eskom in national and international technical forums.
- 7. Manage and conduct product, equipment, material, service and change impact evaluations.
- 8. Provide professional discipline specific technical leadership.
Qualification(s):
BSc/B Eng Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering at NQF8 with 480 credits
Experience
4 years experience in Engineering Maintenance
Professional Registration Body:
Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a professional engineer
