Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Chemical Process Optimization Engineer in Soweto. The role focuses on analyzing existing chemical processes to improve efficiency, yield, quality and cost.

You will leverage data analysis, modeling and simulation to develop and implement strategies that boost operational performance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, at least 5 years in process engineering with an optimization focus, strong analytical skills and experience with SPC, process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years in process engineering with a focus on optimization.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with SPC or similar quality tools.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze process data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, throughput and yield.
• Use process simulation and modeling tools to test solutions.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement and monitor changes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare reports and present findings to management.
