Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Chemical Engineer with strong Project Management capabilities for a major Richards Bay facility. You will oversee capital projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and strict safety and quality standards.

With seven years in chemical engineering and three in project leadership, you will coordinate across engineering, procurement and construction teams, manage risks, and report progress to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; PMP or equivalent project management certification is a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in chemical engineering, with at least 3 years in a project management or project lead role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex industrial or chemical processing projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of chemical engineering projects, including scope definition, planning, execution, and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring resource optimization.
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, construction) and external contractors.
