Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to lead capital projects at a chemical plant in Randburg. You will manage the full project lifecycle from concept through commissioning, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and top safety and quality standards.

This role requires hands-on leadership and strong collaboration with engineering teams, vendors, and regulators. The ideal candidate has a chemical or mechanical engineering degree and at least six years of project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years of project management in chemical/process industries.
• Experience with capital projects, including P&ID, equipment specs, procurement.
• Strong knowledge of chemical plant operations, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Proficient with project management software such as MS Project and Primavera.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization and design through to commissioning and handover. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
