Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Chemical Process Engineer with strong Project Management to join our Upington team. You will lead capital projects from conception through commissioning, focusing on design, installation, and optimization of chemical processes and facilities.

In a hybrid work environment, you will coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget and to technical specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Minimum 6 years in chemical process engineering with at least 3 years in project management.
• Experience managing capital projects in chemical/ process industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; proficient in MS Project is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage chemical engineering projects, including scope definition, planning, execution, and closure.
• Develop process designs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and cost estimates for new installations and upgrades.
• Coordinate with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all projects comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate technical reviews and stakeholder meetings throughout the project lifecycle.

About the Role
