Placements24 is seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer with strong project management to join our client team on a hybrid basis in Upington. You will lead capital projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage contractors, oversee technical execution, and report to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 7+ years in chemical plant operations or project engineering.
• 3+ years in project management.
• Proven track record of capital projects in the chemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of chemical engineering projects, from feasibility to commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress.
• Coordinate with internal engineering disciplines, operations, and external contractors.
