Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Chemical Engineer to provide essential plant support in Sandton. You will troubleshoot operations, improve process efficiency, and help ensure safe, reliable production of chemicals.

The role involves collaboration with operations, maintenance and management teams to address daily challenges and implement practical solutions. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and at least 4 years of experience in a chemical plant or similar

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a chemical plant or similar setting.
Strong understanding of chemical process principles and equipment.
Experience with process troubleshooting and optimization techniques.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to production operations, resolving process-related issues promptly.
Conduct root cause analysis for production upsets and equipment failures.
Develop and implement process improvements to increase yield, reduce waste, and lower costs.
Assist in the management of change (MOC) process for equipment and process modifications.
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations within the plant.
Prepare technical reports, procedures, and training materials.
