Placements24 in Vereeniging seeks a results-driven Chemical Engineer focused on plant optimization to enhance efficiency, reliability, and profitability of our client's production facilities.

You will analyze processes, implement debottlenecking and energy reduction initiatives, and design plant trials to validate improvements, driving uptime and cost reduction. You will work closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure reliability and communicate effectively across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical plant operations or process engineering.
• Proven experience in plant optimization, debottlenecking, or continuous improvement projects.
• Proficiency with process simulation and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of process control systems and instrumentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Analyze plant operational data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Develop and implement process optimization strategies, including debottlenecking and energy reduction initiatives.
• Design and execute plant trials to validate process improvements and new operating parameters.
• Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure the reliability and uptime of plant equipment.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs and operating procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective actions.
