Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks a Checkpoint Security Engineer to work with the Security team to enhance and maintain security systems. You will configure software across operating systems, ensure compatibility with hardware, and manage security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and IDS.

You will also write reports detailing findings and recommendations from testing, including configuration issues and new vulnerabilities discovered within the system.

Qualifications

• Advanced IT/Computing qualification or demonstrated equivalent work experience.
• Security certifications such as Security+.
• Vendor certifications (Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE etc.) advantageous.
• Industry certifications (CISM, CISSP) advantageous.
• Experience with Managed Services in ICT environments.
• Excellent knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Experience with security incident response and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Configure software on multiple operating systems and ensure compatibility with hardware to prevent issues.
• Maintain security tools such as firewalls, anti-virus software and intrusion detection systems.
• Write reports on findings or recommendations from testing processes and identify vulnerabilities.
