Job summary

Perception Point in Johannesburg, South Africa is seeking a Channel Systems Engineer to work with the local territory channel and sales team. The role focuses on positioning Fortinet Fabric, enabling channel partners, and defining solution design to meet customer needs.

The successful candidate will disseminate product knowledge to partner technical teams, build sales materials, and serve as the primary technical contact for channel partners while keeping ahead of the competitive landscape and

Qualifications

• Experience within cyber security & networking.
• Ability to navigate and build relationships within the territory & partner community.
• Experience in a pre-sales engineer role managing end-to-end technical deals.
• Proven problem solving skills and impact on wins.
• Ability to communicate technically to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Disseminate product knowledge to technical teams within the partner community.
• Work with partners across technical, sales and business units.
• Build technical material to support sales activities (slideware, solution briefs, white papers, success stories) and design workshops.
• Listen to understand partner technical requirements and build superior solutions.
• Be the primary technical contact for channel partners with the account team.
• Maintain deep knowledge of Fortinet products and competitive landscape; provide long-term protection messaging.
• Position Fortinet solutions remotely or in person with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Manage time effectively across multiple deals to maintain a positive customer experience.
