Placements24 is seeking an experienced Catering Team Lead to join our client’s busy Bloemfontein operation. The role is hands-on, supervising catering staff during events and ensuring smooth service delivery on-site.

You will guide the team, maintain high service standards, train new staff, coordinate event setups, and liaise with clients and venue staff to address needs while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within the catering or hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of food and beverage service standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Knowledge of event setup and breakdown procedures.

Responsabilités

• Lead and motivate a team of catering staff during events, ensuring efficient service delivery.
• Oversee food and beverage service, ensuring presentation and quality standards are met.
• Train new team members on service protocols, menu knowledge, and client interaction.
• Manage event setups, including table arrangements, decor, and equipment placement.
