Placements24 in Benoni is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in managing culinary operations for their busy catering division. You will help with menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality meals across events.

This role requires leadership to supervise kitchen staff, maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards, and contribute to menu development.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in a culinary role, with at least 2 years as a Sous Chef or Senior Cook in a catering or similar high-volume setting.
Proficiency in various cooking techniques and culinary arts.
Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
Knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP certification is a plus).
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing demands.
