Placements24 is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistants to join our team supporting high-volume events in and around Polokwane. You will assist with food preparation, serve guests, maintain cleanliness, and help ensure smooth event operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is advantageous but not essential.
• A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with food preparation, including chopping, measuring, and assembling ingredients.

• Set up and break down event spaces, including tables, chairs, and buffet stations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, service areas, and event venues.
