Clicks Group Limited in Bellville is seeking a Cashier for the Front Shop Team at the 24Hr Pharmacy. The role focuses on efficient POS operations, accurate cash handling, and promoting promotions to customers.

The successful candidate will deliver friendly service, maintain product knowledge, and adhere to safety and hygiene standards while working shifts between 4pm–11pm on weekdays and 7am–11pm on weekends, as rostered.

Qualifications

• Desirable: Math 50% and English 50%.
• Desirable experience in a customer-facing role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment.
• Basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently execute all operational activities at the point of sale, including scanning and handling payments and applying clubcard rewards.
• Deliver friendly, professional service and act as a brand ambassador.
• Maintain high product knowledge on ranges, promotions and events.
• Follow cash up procedures and ensure safe cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas of the Pharmacy.
• Clear obstacles and maintain safety protocols; perform routine inspections and deep cleaning as required.

Introduction

Unicare is looking for Cashiers to join the Front Shop Team. This role will be based in the 24Hr Pharmacy in Bellville, Cape Town.

Job Objectives:

• To efficiently execute all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely and efficient manner.
• To maintain high levels of accuracy when scanning merchandise and collecting payment for goods purchased, including actioning clubcard rewards.
• To ensure the safe handling of cash at all times.
• To make customers aware of promotions in order to positively affect sales.
• To deliver superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador, being visible and offering a friendly and professional service.
• To maintain updated knowledge on products, ranges, promotions and events in order to provide the correct information to customers at all times.
• Follow cash up procedures

Key responsibilities:

• Cleans designated areas of the Pharmacy by dusting, sweeping, mopping and scrubbing if necessary
• Clears all obstacles from the common areas to ensure consistent safety protocols and procedures are adhered to
• Performs and documents routine inspections of the allocated areas
• Conducts deep cleaning on all specified area
• Maintaining the hygiene standard of the Pharmacy
