Job summary

Damen Services Africa (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer Customer Training to lead and coordinate customized training projects for customers worldwide. You will design and develop tailored training and education plans, collaborating with customers, trainers, and internal experts to deliver impactful learning across technical, nautical, shipbuilding, and maritime disciplines.

The role requires strong project coordination, experience with learning platforms, and travel within Africa.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in project coordination, learning & development, training, education, customer success or a similar environment.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing projects simultaneously.
• Affinity with E-learning platforms and Learning Management Systems.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Africa; currently residing in the Cape Town area and legally entitled to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Design & Develop: Create tailored training and education plans aligned with customer requirements and operational objectives.
• Collaborate & Advise: Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding training solutions and translate needs into programs.
• Coordinate & Execute: Organize global training projects from preparation through successful delivery and arrange international travel/logistics.
• Lead & Monitor: Take ownership of project planning, budgeting, quality, and progress with reporting to stakeholders.
• Continuously Improve: Identify opportunities to enhance training quality and integrate external training systems.
