Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Workshop Manager or in a similar maintenance management role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, industrial machinery, hydraulics, and processing equipment.
• Demonstrated leadership and staff management experience.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work overtime and be available on standby to attend to breakdowns when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of all company trucks and transport vehicles.
• Manage servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance of processing equipment.
• Ensure all vehicles and equipment are maintained in safe operating condition.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
• Supervise daily workshop activities and workflow.
• Lead, supervise, train, and develop workshop employees.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor and manage workshop expenditure and cost-control measures.
• Coordinate responses to vehicle and equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain records relating to inspections, licensing, and compliance audits.
