Bushwise in Limpopo is seeking a Camp Manager with Chef Experience to oversee daily lodge operations and curate exceptional dining for guests. This live-in role blends high-level guest relations with hands-on culinary leadership, supervising a small local team to uphold four-star standards.

The role requires 3–5 years in a similar safari lodge setting, a culinary qualification, and a valid SA driver’s license. Live-in accommodation is provided, with meals discounted.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hospitality experience in a dual role (Assistant Camp Manager, Hosting Chef, or Head Chef with front-of-house experience).
• Formal culinary arts degree or diploma is highly advantageous; hospitality management qualification is a plus.
• Exceptional cooking skills across cuisines; financial literacy in stock control and budgeting.
• Valid South African driver’s licence is essential.
• Resilient, flexible and adapted to remote bush lifestyle; hands-on leadership.

Responsibilities

• Culinary & Kitchen Management: design menus, cook and plate with attention to dietary needs.
• Camp Management & Guest Hosting: greet guests, conduct orientations, manage check-ins/check-outs, ensure comfort.
• Operations: oversee front-of-house, bar, housekeeping standards and basic maintenance coordination.
• Staff Leadership: supervise, train and motivate kitchen and housekeeping staff; maintain a positive work environment.
• Administration: handle daily admin, guest billing, cash ups, and liaison with reserve management.
