Job summary

Emeris Online is seeking Call Centre Operator for a fixed-term contract to drive telesales and recruitment activities. The role involves making initial calls, verifying entry requirements, advising on alternatives, and capturing student data for the SIMS database.

You will book consultations for distance advisors and handle inquiries with a focus on conversions. Responsibilities include data integrity, follow-ups, and administrative support to the Student Recruitment team.

Qualifications

• Matric essential; related tertiary qualification recommended but not essential.
• Minimum 1-2 years in Sales/Admin/Marketing/Customer experience/Telemarketing.

Responsibilities

• Make initial telephonic contact with prospective students within 24 hours.
• Establish whether the student meets entry requirements.
• If not, offer an alternative course.
• Capture student details for the database.
• Capture student details on the database (SIMS).
• Book consultations for the Distance Student Advisors.
• Discuss the course details.
• Manage Lead-to-Application conversion rate as set by the HSR.
• Respond to prospect/student queries and concerns.
• Advise students of application and registration closing dates.
• Complete confirmation calls / reschedule appointments.
• Complete SIMS records to track activity.
• Assist the Head: Student Recruitment with admin/marketing tasks.
• Assist Student Advisors with post-application tasks such as payments and documentation.
• Capture database on SIMS.

Emeris Online has vacancies for Call Centre Operator positions (Fixed-Term Contract).

Fulfilling Telesales Function

• Makes initial telephonic contact with prospective students within 24 hours.
• Establish as to whether or not the student meets the entry requirements
• If the student does not meet the entry requirements, offer an alternative course.
• Acquires and capturing student's details for the database.
• Captures student's details on the database.
• Books consultations for the Student Advisors (Distance)
• Discusses the course(s) in detail.
• Manages the Lead to Application conversion rate as set out by the HSR.
• Responds to prospect / student queries and concerns.
• Advises students of the application and registration closing date.
• Completes confirmation calls / reschedule appointments.
• Completes SIMS records to track activity.

General Activities

• Assist the Head: Student Recruitment with any related admin / marketing tasks.
• Assisting the Student Advisors with post application tasks such as collecting payments and documentation.
• Capturing of database on SIMS.

Competencies required:

• High level of accuracy required in both typing and data capturing
• Well spoken over the telephone
• Excellent organisational and administration skills

Minimum Qualification requirements:

• Matric essential, relevant tertiary qualification is recommended however not essential.

Minimum Work Experience requirements:

• Minimum of 1-2 years Sales/ Admin/Marketing/Customer experience/ Telemarketing.
