Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Buyer specializing in Indirect Services to join the East London procurement team. You will source and procure IT equipment, professional services, facilities management and travel, while managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts to achieve cost efficiency and quality.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in SCM or related field and 2–4 years' experience in indirect sourcing, with strong Excel skills and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Buyer specializing in Indirect Services to join their procurement team in East London. This role is focused on sourcing and procuring a wide range of non-operational goods and services, such as IT equipment, professional services, facilities management, and travel. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality for these essential support functions. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement process for indirect spend categories, including IT, HR, Marketing, and Facilities.
• Identify potential suppliers, conduct RFPs, and negotiate terms and pricing for services and indirect goods.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers of indirect services.
• Ensure all procurements comply with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and work towards continuous improvement in service delivery and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand their needs for indirect goods and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with specific experience in sourcing indirect services.
• Proven negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
• Proficiency with procurement systems and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
