Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to manage indirect spend for IT, marketing, HR and facilities, operating primarily in a remote capacity for operations based around Port Elizabeth. You will source, negotiate and manage contracts, building supplier relationships to drive cost savings and service levels.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and experience with contract management.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Procurement Specialist with a focus on indirect spend to join their team, operating primarily in a remote capacity, supporting operations based out of Port Elizabeth. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient procurement of non-production goods and services, such as IT, marketing, HR, and facilities management. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts for these essential operational areas, driving value and ensuring high service levels. The ideal candidate will excel at building supplier relationships and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies in a distributed team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for indirect goods and services, including IT, marketing and operational supplies.
• Conduct market analysis to identify new suppliers and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, budgets, and ethical guidelines.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues proactively to ensure service delivery.
