Job summary

Indsafri is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (Intermediate to Senior) to bridge business requirements with technology solutions in a hybrid Centurion/Johannesburg role. You will analyze processes, gather requirements, and work with stakeholders, architects, developers, and testers to deliver effective system solutions.

The ideal candidate has 4–8+ years of relevant experience, Gemstone platform expertise, and strong knowledge of APIs, SQL, and BPMN/UML.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst.
• Gemstone platform experience is mandatory.
• Knowledge of APIs, system integrations and SQL.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on with JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Lucidchart, Postman, SoapUI or Power BI.
• Understanding of UML, BPMN and business process modelling.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Analysis, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Experience in financial services/investments is an advantage.
• Exposure to AI, automation, analytics, or digital transformation is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into functional/non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.

• Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation, analytics, and AI.

• Gemstone platform experience – Mandatory.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, process modelling, and business analysis.
• Knowledge of APIs, system integrations, and SQL.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on exposure to tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Lucidchart, Postman, SoapUI, or Power BI.
• Understanding of UML, BPMN, and business process modelling.
• Experience in financial services/investments is an advantage.
• Exposure to AI, automation, analytics, or digital transformation is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Analysis, Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications

CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile, Data Analytics, or AI-related certifications are advantageous.
