Job summary

MiWay is recruiting a team leader to manage a call centre team in Durban, driving performance and coaching staff to meet sales and service targets. The role requires hands-on mentoring, strong product knowledge, and the ability to sustain high standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee individual performance, contribute to process improvements, and support agents with real-time guidance to resolve queries effectively.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Tertiary qualification (NQF 5) preferred.
• FAIS credits as per DOFA date.

Responsibilities

• Manages a team of call centre agents/consultants within the communications centre.
• Ensures the team consistently hits targets by monitoring individual performance and product knowledge.
• Mentors the team and provides real-time support for query resolution.

What will you do?

Manages individuals within a team e.g. call centre agents / consultants within the communication centre.

Ensures that the team reaches target by monitoring individual performance on a constant basis. Very knowledgeable on all aspects of the products, processes and systems.

Mentors team and gives constant real-time support in terms of query resolution.

• Grade 12 / Standard 10 / NQF 4
• Tertiary qualification / NQF 5
• STI FAIS credits (as per DOFA date)
• A minimum of 1 to 5 years sales experience in a call centre
• Previous team management experience in a call centre
• Short-term insurance experience in a call centre
