Job summary

TIH’s Renasa in Pretoria is seeking a Broker Support Agent Underwriting to assist the underwriting team with intermediaries, policy administration, and new business/renewals. You will liaise with Risk, FAC, Survey, and Claims departments to ensure accurate information and smooth processes.

The role requires Grade 12, FAIS and RE5, 1–3 years in financial services, and knowledge of short-term insurance intermediaries.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or SAQA equivalent is essential.
• FAIS and RE5 qualifications are essential.
• Class of Business – product knowledge required.
• 1–3 years Financial Services industry experience is essential; short-term insurance product knowledge/intermediary experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting management: Support underwriting of new business and renewal cases by verifying information and referring issues to senior colleagues when needed.
• Insurance policy administration: Evaluate customer and policy information, set up premium collections, liaise with intermediary to clarify incomplete information.
• Document management: Create, organize and maintain files and obtain required documentation to proceed with claims.
• Administration: Update and support MS documents, databases and systems for senior colleagues.
• Intermediary/customer service management: Carry out standard intermediary/customer service activities and handle simple inquiries.
