Job summary

Santam Insurance in Port Elizabeth is seeking a Relationship Manager to drive retention and profitable growth of broker portfolios. You will develop and manage strong relationships with intermediaries and internal partners, promote new business, and service existing accounts to meet regional targets.

The role requires expertise in short-term insurance, broker management, and sales, with a focus on CPM commercial business and a proactive growth mindset.

Qualifications

• Matric qualification
• Insurance-related qualification (NQF Level 5)
• FAIS compliant
• Regulatory Exam compliant
• At least 3 years personal lines and 5 years commercial experience, including Agri
• Operational experience managing a large portfolio of broker business
• Good operational experience regarding CPM commercial business
• Sales experience in the short-term insurance sector
• Experience maintaining and growing a profitable commercial and personal insurance portfolio

Responsibilities

• Retain and grow assigned broker portfolios through strong broker relationships
• Promote new business and service existing accounts as a proactive relationship manager
• Support regional sales strategy and targets
• Identify growth opportunities and new brokers
• Analyze broker performance and report insights at regional meetings
• Manage people (Service Consultant) and coordinate with internal partners
