Job summary

Santam is seeking a Relationship Manager based in Cape Town to retain and grow allocated broker portfolios. You will develop strong relationships with intermediaries and internal partners, promoting new and existing business while acting as a proactive manager for assigned accounts.

You will support the regional sales strategy, manage broker portfolios, and identify growth opportunities. Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• Insurance related qualification NQF level 5 is preferred.
• FAIS compliance and regulatory exams are required.
• At least 3 years of personal lines experience in a broker portfolio environment.
• Sales experience in short-term insurance and growing a profitable broker portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a profitable broker portfolio.
• Develop and manage relationships with brokers and internal partners.
• Support sales strategy and business plan aligned to regional targets.
• Identify new brokers and opportunities for growth.
• Monitor competition and market trends.
• Facilitate sales processes and ensure correct channels are used.
• Prepare monthly broker-level analyses and present at meetings.
