Job summary

Santam-Echelon is seeking a Relationship Manager based in Cape Town to drive retention and profitable growth of broker portfolios through strong relationships with intermediaries and internal partners. You will promote new and existing business, manage broker relationships, and contribute to sales strategy and regional targets.

The role requires 3+ years in personal lines within an operational broker portfolio environment, with FAIS compliance and regulatory exam readiness.

Qualifications

• Matric qualification required.
• Insurance related qualification (NQF level 5).
• FAIS compliant and regulatory exam compliance required.
• At least 3 years of personal lines experience managing a large broker portfolio.
• Sales experience in the short-term insurance sector.
• Experience maintaining and growing a profitable personal insurance portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Retain and grow broker portfolios through strong relationships with intermediaries and internal partners.
• Promote new and existing business by serving as a proactive relationship manager for assigned accounts.
• Support sales strategy and business plan to meet regional targets.
• Establish and manage relationships with brokers and business managers.
• Analyze broker-level performance monthly and report findings at meetings.
