Job summary

Santam is seeking a Relationship Manager to retain and grow a broker portfolio by building strong relationships with intermediaries and internal partners. You will promote new business and support existing accounts, ensuring effective channels and processes are used.

You will manage broker portfolios, contribute to strategic plans, and provide performance analyses while maintaining high service standards in a dynamic insurance environment.

Qualifications

• Matric qualification is required.
• Insurance related qualification at NQF level 5 is preferred.
• FAIS compliance and regulatory exams are required.
• Minimum 3 years in personal lines and 5 years in commercial insurance, with portfolio responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of CPM commercial business and underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage strong relationships with brokers including business managers.
• Grow and maintain profitability of allocated broker portfolio.
• Develop business plans with brokers to grow the business.
• Identify new potential brokers and opportunities for growth.
• Provide monthly broker-level analyses and report at regional broker services meetings.
• Support Santam's sales strategy and regional targets.
