Placements24 is seeking a reliable Broadband Network Technician for on-site work in East London. You will install, activate, and troubleshoot fiber and coaxial broadband services for residential and business customers, perform maintenance on outside plant equipment, and ensure service levels are met.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in field service, strong knowledge of fiber and coax, and solid Wi‑Fi expertise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or certification in electronics or telecommunications is advantageous.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a field service role, preferably with broadband installation or maintenance.
• Proficiency in using testing equipment such as OTDRs, signal level meters, and cable testers.
• Knowledge of fiber optic and coaxial cable installation, splicing, and termination techniques.
• Strong understanding of residential networking, Wi-Fi, and modems/routers.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and technically adept Broadband Network Technician to join their expanding operations team in East London . This role is focused on the installation, maintenance, and repair of broadband network infrastructure, including fiber optic and coaxial cable systems, at customer premises and along distribution routes. You will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-speed internet services with optimal performance and reliability. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors and has a strong understanding of broadband technologies.
