Job summary

SAB is seeking a Brewing Engineer at Chamdor Brewery to drive asset care, improve plant reliability and optimize performance across brewing operations. You will lead the engineering team, set goals, review performance, and support safe, compliant plant start-ups and shutdowns.

The role requires a BSc in Engineering or equivalent, 3–5 years as a Section Engineer in FMCG, and experience with VPO Maintenance Pillar. SAP knowledge and COCP would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• BSc Engineering or equivalent tertiary education.
• 3-5 years as a Section Engineer ideally in an FMCG company.
• Experience with modern VPO Maintenance Pillar.
• Previous exposure in brewing or similar process.
• Government Certificate of Competence would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement asset care plan for brewing; ensure engineering team competencies.
• Ensure reliability and uptime of brewing plant; supervise maintenance and data integrity.
• Lead plant optimization trials; evaluate impact of new equipment and plant changes.
• Lead the engineering team; conduct regular goal reviews and training plans.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping compliance; implement SAB and OSH policies.
