Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail banking, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving branch performance.
• Strong understanding of retail banking products, services, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
• Customer-centric approach with a passion for service excellence.
• Proficiency in banking software and CRM systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic branch environment located in Mossel Bay, Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day branch operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of branch staff, including tellers, customer service representatives, and personal bankers.
• Drive branch sales performance by setting targets, monitoring progress, and implementing effective sales strategies for retail banking products (savings, loans, investments).
• Ensure the delivery of outstanding customer service, resolving customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Oversee branch security, compliance with banking regulations, and risk management protocols.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to branch staff.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local customers and community stakeholders.
• Manage branch P&L, including budgeting, expense control, and profitability analysis.
