Qualifications

• Must have National Senior Certificate or equivalent (N3/NQF4).
• Retail Management qualification or equivalent experience (advantage).
• B.Sc./B.Tech. in Animal Health is advantageous.
• Experience in inventory and personnel management is essential.
• Strong sales, marketing and customer service experience.
• Staff training and development experience is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills.
• Good computer literacy and proficiency in standard computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations and overall branch performance.
• Oversee stock management: ordering, receiving, replenishment, stock counts, expiries, batches, obsolete stock.
• Monitor sales and market trends to meet sales targets.
• Maintain high customer service standards and handle complaints.
• Drive sales and marketing initiatives, including in-store promotions and displays.
• Manage debtors and support branch financial performance.
• Lead branch personnel: task allocation, performance management, leave, training and development.
• Ensure compliance with labour, health and safety, and operational requirements.
• Maintain merchandising, housekeeping and store presentation.
• Liaise with Head Office and stakeholders as required.

• Must have a National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification (N3/NQF Level 4), a qualification in Retail Management or equivalent relevant experience, while a B.Sc./B.Tech. in Animal Health will be advantageous
• Experience in inventory and personnel management is essential
• Must have strong sales, marketing, and customer service experience
• Experience in staff training and development is advantageous
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• Strong product knowledge, preferably within the agricultural/animal health sector
• Must have good computer literacy and proficiency in standard computer applications

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Overseeing stock management, including ordering, receiving, replenishment, stock counts, expiries, batches, and obsolete stock.
• Monitoring sales and market trends to ensure appropriate product availability and achieve sales targets.
• Maintaining high standards of customer service, handling complaints, and building strong customer relationships.
• Driving sales and marketing initiatives, including in-store promotions and product displays.
• Managing debtors and assisting with maintaining the branch's financial performance.
• Leading and managing branch personnel, including task allocation, performance management, leave, training, and development.
• Ensuring compliance with labour, health and safety, and operational requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of merchandising, housekeeping, and store presentation.
• Liaising with Head Office and other stakeholders as required.
