Placements24 seeks a Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician for a rapid-growth biopharma company in Soweto, Gauteng. You will operate and maintain equipment like bioreactors, centrifuges, and chromatography systems to support cell culture, purification, or fill/finish processes.

The role requires a Diploma or degree in biotechnology or a related field, plus 0–3 years of manufacturing experience, GMP understanding, and strong attention to detail. Shift work is required.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• 0-3 years of experience in a biopharmaceutical or related manufacturing environment (internships or co-op experience considered).
• Basic understanding of GMP principles and aseptic techniques.

Responsabilités

• Operate and maintain biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment (bioreactors, centrifuges, filtration, chromatography).
• Execute manufacturing batch records accurately per SOPs.
• Perform in-process testing and sampling for quality and process control.
• Follow GMP and safety guidelines during all manufacturing activities.
• Assist in cleaning and sanitization of equipment and manufacturing areas.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report deviations to supervisors.
• Participate in process validation and qualification activities as required.
• Maintain accurate records of all manufacturing activities.
• Collaborate with QC and QA teams and other departments.
