Job summary

SMEC in Durban seeks a Digital Delivery Lead to oversee complex design modelling and production tasks for water infrastructure projects. You will coordinate CAD/BIM standards, develop templates, and lead multi-disciplinary delivery while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires 10+ years in draughting/engineering, registration in Draughting, proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D and QGIS, and experience with ACC/BIM360 and ProjectWise. Willingness to travel for project delivery.

Qualifications

• Professional registration in Draughting for Civil Engineering projects.
• 10+ years of professional experience.
• 5+ years in similar position.
• Experience in Water Infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• 3D modelling, detailing and quality audits on outgoing drawings/models.
• BIM implementation and standardisation of drawings on project.
• Develop Autodesk templates/libraries/tools to maintain standards.
• Mentor and train junior staff; lead project delivery.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary work and ensure high-quality drawings.
