Camps Bay Retreat in Cape Town is seeking a friendly Barman to deliver timely service, prepare drinks, maintain stock and support waitrons. The role emphasizes creating a welcoming atmosphere at the bar and upselling accommodation and tourism services.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• 2-3 years’ hospitality experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of cocktails and beverage preparation.
• Strong communication and guest relations skills.
• Ability to work with money and calculations.
• Attention to detail and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Stock and maintain the bar with beverages and supplies
• Prepare alcoholic, non-alcoholic and hot beverages
• Clean and polish glasses and utensils
• Take food and beverage orders from guests
• Assist waitrons and support smooth restaurant operations
• Handle cash, card and room charge payments accurately
• Upsell accommodation and tourism services
• Build rapport with guests and manage responsible alcohol service
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests or complaints promptly
• Report maintenance issues and ensure equipment is well kept
