Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town invites a charismatic Seasonal Bartender to join its luxury beverage team, delivering crafted cocktails and memorable guest experiences across bars, restaurants and events.

You will use expert mixology, engage guests with personalized recommendations, and work with the service team to ensure seamless operations, inventory control, and impeccable standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ bartending experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel, upscale restaurant, or cocktail bar.
• Professional mixology knowledge
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and stock control procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; additional languages advantageous.
• Well-presented, punctual, and confident under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an Exceptional Bar Experience: Prepare and serve beverages with skill, speed, and accuracy while maintaining high presentation standards.
• Guest Engagement: Interact warmly with guests, anticipate their needs, and offer personalised recommendations to elevate their experience.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, beers, and non‑alcoholic beverages, including preparation techniques and pairings.
• Upselling & Promotions: Confidently promote signature cocktails, wine pairings, and daily specials to enhance revenue and guest satisfaction.
• Service Coordination: Support the service team during peak periods and ensure seamless coordination between the bar, restaurant, and events.
• Stock & Inventory: Assist with bar stock control, ordering, rotation, and waste management in line with hotel procedures.
• Cleanliness & Compliance: Keep the bar area organized, hygienic, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Cash Handling & Billing: Accurately process payments and maintain correct records using the POS system.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in daily briefings and work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery across outlets.
