Job summary

ANEW Hotel Capital in Sandton seeks a Banqueting Coordinator for its 5-star setting. You will coordinate food and beverage for functions across Banquet and Meeting rooms, ensuring flawless service and first impressions.

You will greet guests, brief conference facilitators, and work across shifts including nights and weekends to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Knowledge of Opera and Front Office systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) with hospitality qualification desirable.
• At least 1 year receptionist experience in hospitality (3-4 star).
• Knowledge of Opera, Front Office and F&B systems.
• Excellent English; IsiZulu an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers politely and maintain hospitable attitude.
• Ensure conference facilitators receive welcome packs and briefings.
• Coordinate delivery of food and beverage for functions.

Career Growth, Hospitality Recruitment have a vacancy for a Banqueting Coordinator for a 5* Luxury Hotel in Sandton.

If you love creating a good first impression, exceeding customer expectations through efficient delivering and friendly service with great attitude, with good knowledge of product, menus, coordinating the delivery of all food and beverage for functions held in the Hotel and all details pertaining to functions being held in all Banquet and Meeting rooms, ANEW Hotel Capital is looking for an individual like you.

Job Expectations:

• Greet customers politely, project a hospitable, polite, friendly, warm and smiling attitude to all employees and customers.
• Introduce self to customers
• Ensures each conference facilitator receives a welcome pack and briefing on arrival
• Ensure that our service and product deliver the highest level of guest satisfaction.
• Monitor customers needs and promptly handle requests
• Ensures post conference debrief with client and sign off account before departure on last day.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) certificate, with a hospitality qualification is desirable
• At least one years plus receptionist experience within the hospitality industry in 3- & 4-star property.
• Knowledge of Opera, Front Office & F&B systems and procedures
• High level of customer service, disciplined, organised, and attention to detail essential. Excellent Communication Skills in English and IsiZulu will be advantage
• High degree of self-motivation and ambition
• Must be able to work shifts, nights and weekends.
