Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a Software Developer with a strong backend focus to design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs powering core products.

You will collaborate with frontend teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver new features, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architecture decisions while delivering robust, well-documented code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, C#, or Node.js.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and ORMs.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and best practices.
• Familiarity with Git and agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust backend services and APIs.
• Optimize performance, queries, and system architecture for scalability and reliability.
