Placements24 is seeking a skilled Software Engineer focused on backend development to design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs in Benoni. You will contribute to architectural decisions, work with a talented Gauteng team, and help deliver robust software solutions.

The role requires 4+ years in backend development, proficiency in Java, Python, Go, or Node.js, and experience with databases, ORM, microservices, and Docker.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/SE.
• Minimum of 4 years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Strong understanding of databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB) and ORM.
• Experience with microservices and message queues is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient backend code.
• Develop and integrate robust APIs (RESTful, GraphQL).
• Optimize apps for speed, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with frontend and product teams for seamless UX.
