Placements24 is seeking an Aviation Operations Controller in Soweto to manage daily flight operations, coordinate flight schedules, monitor progress, and liaise with pilots, ATC and ground services to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Aviation Management or related field with at least 3 years’ experience in aviation operations, and strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills for high-pressure environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in aviation operations control or related role.
• Strong knowledge of flight operations, ATC procedures, and meteorology.

About the Role

This critical role involves ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of aircraft by managing flight schedules, coordinating with flight crews, and liaising with air traffic control and ground services. You will be the central point of communication, monitoring flight progress and responding effectively to operational challenges. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage daily flight schedules, optimizing routes and aircraft utilization.

• Ensure all flights comply with aviation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
