Qualifications

• Trade qualification or relevant certification in Automotive Mechanical Technology, Diesel Mechanics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technician specializing in heavy vehicle, mobile equipment, or GSE maintenance.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Experience with common GSE equipment used in airport environments is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic data.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to ground handling operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and diagnostic testing on various types of GSE, including tugs, belt loaders, aircraft jacks, and de-icing units.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on GSE.
• Conduct engine and transmission repairs, brake system maintenance, and other major component overhauls.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed using the company's CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Operate specialized tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize equipment downtime.
• Adhere strictly to airport safety and security protocols at all times.
• Participate in on-call rotations and perform after-hours work as required.
