Placements24 in Benoni, Gauteng is seeking an Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician to maintain and repair a wide range of airport GSE including tugs, belt loaders, airstairs, and de-icing units. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety standards on the ramp.

The ideal candidate has a relevant mechanical, electrical, or diesel engineering trade qualification, hands-on experience with heavy machinery, and the ability to work shifts

Formación

• Requires a trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Diesel Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Mechanic or Technician on heavy machinery, preferably GSE.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems and control systems.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools, hand tools and power tools.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on various GSE.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in GSE using appropriate tools.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of GSE.
• Repair and replace faulty components, ensuring safety and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
