Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Software Development Lead in Centurion, Gauteng, to guide a team of software engineers in embedded in-vehicle infotainment, connectivity and ADAS projects from concept to production.

You will define software requirements, set architecture standards, oversee planning, coding, testing and deployment, and champion agile practices, CI/CD, code reviews and automotive safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Software/EE or related field.
• 8+ years in software development, with embedded automotive experience.
• 3+ years in technical leadership or team lead roles.
• Deep knowledge of C/C++, embedded Linux, RTOS and automotive software patterns.
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR, CAN and SOME/IP protocols; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers throughout the lifecycle.
• Define software requirements and roadmaps with product and hardware teams.
• Oversee planning, architecture, coding, testing and deployment of automotive software.
• Drive agile practices, CI/CD, code reviews and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with automotive safety standards and regulations.
