Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Automation Engineer in Paarl to optimize manufacturing processes, designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems across production lines for improved efficiency, quality, and safety.

The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years in industrial automation, and hands-on PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, and robotics (Fanuc, KUKA) experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI development.
Experience with robotic programming and integration (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA).
Strong understanding of control system architecture and instrumentation.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
Program and troubleshoot industrial robots and automated machinery.
Develop and maintain electrical control panels and system wiring for automated equipment.
Conduct performance analysis of automated systems and identify areas for optimization.
Collaborate with production teams to understand needs and implement effective automation strategies.
Ensure the reliability and safety of all automated systems in operation in Paarl .
