You will lead a hands-on team of automation engineers and technicians, focusing on robotics, PLC programming, and SCADA to drive efficiency and safety.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics/Industrial Eng, 7+ years in automation, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in industrial automation engineering.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell) and SCADA systems.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
• Cape Town manufacturing sector experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of industrial automation systems, including robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
• Oversee the programming, configuration, and testing of automated machinery and control systems.
• Develop technical specifications and project documentation for automation initiatives.
• Manage automation project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of automation engineers and technicians.
