Job summary

Jackie Cory Recruitment is seeking an experienced E-Plan Designer in the Eastern Cape to join our automation team. You will assist with costing, develop control concepts, and prepare detailed electrical designs for customer sign-off.

Responsibilities include pre-commissioning, commissioning, reporting, and site safety during installation. The ideal candidate has a National Diploma in Electrical/Mechatronics, 5+ years in automation, and solid knowledge of SANS 10142 and international standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum National Diploma Electrical/Mechatronics.
• 5+ years in Automation.
• E-Plan knowledge advantageous.
• Electronic systems & troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of SANS 10142 and international standards.
• Project management.
• Quality focus and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate MS Office proficiency.
• Electronics testing & design.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and overtime.
• Building good customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical costing.
• Develop control concepts and hardware selection for automation systems.
• Create detailed electrical designs (PowerPoint/Visio) for customer sign-off.
• Prepare detailed electrical manufacturing and site installation plans.
• Pre-commission and commissioning of equipment.
• Document and generate project reports.
• Ensure site safety during commissioning.
• Supervise and support electrical project manufacture and installation teams.
• Provide standby and callouts.
• Plan and execute electrical projects.
