Placements24 is seeking an experienced Audit Manager in Pietermaritzburg to lead audit engagements across diverse industries. You will manage audit teams, ensure delivery of high-quality services in line with ISAs, and mentor junior staff while contributing to the firm’s growth and client relationships.

The role requires CA(SA) or ACCA, 6–8 years of audit experience (2+ in supervision), and strong leadership with proficiency in CaseWare and MS Office.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CA(SA) or ACCA qualification is mandatory.
• 6–8 years of progressive audit experience, with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Extensive knowledge of ISAs, IFRS, and SA corporate laws.
• Experience managing complex audit engagements across industries.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in CaseWare and MS Office.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage financial statement audits for a portfolio of clients, ensuring adherence to ISAs.
• Plan, execute, and finalize audits with risk assessments and testing.
• Supervise, train, and mentor audit staff.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships as primary contact.
• Review audit workpapers and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management and audit committees.
• Ensure audits are completed within budget and timeframes.
• Stay updated on ISA/IFRS changes and industry best practices.
• Assist in business development and growth of the audit practice.
• Manage client expectations and resolve issues proactively.
