Job Description:

An international accounting and advisory firm is seeking an Audit Manager to join its Financial Services audit team based in Cape Town, South Africa. The Audit Manager will manage a portfolio of clients within the Financial Services sector, including investment and wealth managers, financial advisory firms, fintech companies, and professional services providers. The role involves overseeing audits from planning to completion, developing team members, and maintaining strong client relationships. The successful candidate will also contribute to business development and process improvement initiatives within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of Financial Services audit clients.
• Oversee audits from planning through to completion.
• Lead client meetings and act as the main point of contact throughout the year.
• Review financial statements and provide technical accounting guidance.
• Manage budgets, monitor recoveries, and address any overruns.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development activities.
• Provide general business advice and coordinate delivery of related non-audit services.
• Supervise, coach, and develop junior team members.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless client service.
• Support internal projects such as efficiency improvements, training, and process enhancements.
• Handle client billing and related administrative tasks.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified CA (SA) or ACCA.
• 6 - 8 years of total audit experience.
