Job summary

CVQuest in South Africa is seeking an on-site operations role focused on stock management, rebates/IRS, POS and cash control. You will assist with stock counts, supervise staff, and ensure smooth wholesale/retail distribution.

The role requires liquor-industry experience, 3+ years in supervision, rebate knowledge, and strong MS Office and POS skills. You will work six days a week on-site in Vosloosrus, contributing to operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Matric and liquor-industry experience required.
• 3 years relevant experience in the liquor industry.
• Previous supervisor/assistant management experience.
• Practical experience with rebates/IRS.
• Experience with cash-ups and cash reconciliations.
• Knowledge of POS Systems.
• Able to work 6 days a week.
• Must work on-site in Vosloosrus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stock receiving, issuing and controlling stock.
• Conduct and oversee regular stock counts and full stock takes.
• Investigate stock discrepancies, shortages and variances.
• Monitor stock movement, damages, returns and shrinkage.
• Ensure accurate stock records on relevant systems.
• Understand and administer supplier rebates and IRS processes in the liquor industry.
• Assist with tracking rebate agreements, claims and promotional deals.
• Verify purchases and sales against rebate structures.
• Identify discrepancies and follow up on rebates/credits.
• Strong working knowledge of POS systems.
• Oversee daily cash-up procedures and reconciliation of tills.
• Investigate cash-up discrepancies and POS variances.
• Ensure cash handling procedures and internal controls.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Assist the Manager with daily running of the business.
• Coordinate stock movement between receiving, warehouse, retail/wholesale and dispatch.
• Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with delivery and distribution planning.
• Maintain high standards of operational control and customer service.
• Assist with supervising and coordinating staff.
• Allocate daily duties and monitor productivity.
• Ensure employees comply with procedures and standards.
• Assist with staff scheduling and daily operational requirements.
• Report operational and disciplinary concerns to management.

WHOLESALE, RETAIL & DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS

• Assist the Manager with the daily running of the business.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric
